A Civil Site Store Manager is a role (typically in construction, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects) responsible for managing and running the site store — the place where materials, tools, equipment, and consumables are stored and issued on a construction or civil project site.

Role Overview A Civil Site Store Manager ensures that all materials and supplies needed for a civil construction project are:

- Available on time
- Stored correctly
- Issued properly
- Tracked accurately

Key Responsibilities

1. Material Management

- Receive and inspect deliveries of construction materials.
- Check materials against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Ensure correct storage to prevent damage, theft, or deterioration.

2. Inventory Control

- Maintain accurate records of stock levels.
- Update inventories regularly (often with software such as ERP Systems).
- Carry out periodic stock verifications and reconciliations.
- Forecast material requirements based on project schedules.

3. Issue & Dispatch

- Issue required materials to workers or subcontractors upon request.
- Ensure requisitions are authorized and properly documented.
- Coordinate with site supervisors to fulfil material needs efficiently.

4. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure store area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.




- Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for Hazardous Items
- Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) for stock rotation where necessary.

5. Reporting

- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly store reports.
- Highlight shortages, overages, and discrepancies.
- Coordinate with procurement for reordering.

Typical Qualifications

- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (often preferred)

- Outdoor and indoor storage yards
- In coordination with multiple departments

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
