Qualification

n

B.El.Ed. / B.Ed. / D.Ed. or equivalent.

n

A degree in the relevant subject is an added advantage.

n

Experience

n

Minimum 3 to 5 years of teaching or relevant experience.

n

Prior experience in an International Curriculum (IGCSE / IB) is strongly preferred.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Thoroughly understand and internalize SVKM's quality policy for IGCSE education, including the developed curriculum and teaching-learning strategies, under the overall guidance of the Principal.
n
- Take full ownership of the implementation of the assigned subject syllabus or class curriculum, ensuring complete participation and involvement.
n
- Remain accountable to SVKM management through the Head of School for classroom performance and all scholastic and co-scholastic activities.
n
- Make consistent efforts to maintain and improve student attendance and overall school engagement.
n
- Assist the Principal in the general organisation of school activities,



including periodic and terminal examinations and co-curricular events.
n
- Set question papers for term and other examinations in the assigned subject, and assess answer papers judiciously as per the Principal's plan.
n
- Plan and deliver a comprehensive Scheme of Work for the respective subject/class, incorporating Internal Assessment and feedback strategies.
n
- Design and implement a student support system for the respective subject to address diverse learning needs.
n
- Periodically access online curriculum websites and leverage subject-specific teacher support materials where necessary.
n
- Assist the Principal and Vice-Principal in maintaining and updating essential authorisation documents and folders for visiting teams of respective curricular bodies.
n
- Support the Primary Coordinator in coordinating with the Library for e-resources, e-magazine subscriptions, and digital learning tools.
n
- Collaborate regularly and proactively with fellow teachers to ensure efficient and effective implementation of the curriculum.
n
- Successfully undertake and complete all required Orientation Courses and professional development programmes.
n
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Principal from time to time in the overall interest of the school.
