Role Overview : The Design Manager for the Nykaa will oversee the design aspects of the Nykaa e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and user-friendly shopping experience. This role involves managing a team of designers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining high standards of visual and interaction design.

Role Description :

1. Team Leadership and Management:

n

- Lead and mentor a team of UI/UX designers, graphic designers, and other design professionals.

n

- Foster a creative and collaborative work environment.

n

- Conduct regular team meetings, reviews, and provide constructive feedback.

n

2. Design Strategy and Execution:

n

- Develop and implement design strategies aligned with the overall business objectives.

n

- Ensure the design team produces high-quality, on-brand design solutions.

n

- Oversee the creation of wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups.

n

3. Brand Consistency, Visual Identity & Rebranding

n

- Brand Guidelines Implementation: Implement and update brand guidelines to establish a cohesive and modern visual identity.

n

- Visual Identity Creation: Design consistent brand elements, including logos, fonts, and color schemes, tailored to the fashion and beauty segments.

n

- Rebranding Projects: Lead the creative direction for rebranding initiatives, ensuring alignment with the brand's values and vision.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

n

- Work closely with product managers, developers, marketers, and other stakeholders to ensure the design meets user needs and business goals.

- Present design concepts and solutions to senior management and other stakeholders.

n





- Ensure clear communication and documentation of design decisions and guidelines.

n

5. User Experience and Interface Design:

n

- Ensure the user experience is intuitive, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing across all digital touchpoints.

n

- Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to refine and improve designs.

n

- Stay updated with the latest design trends, technologies, and best practices.

n

6. Project Management:

n

- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.

- Allocate resources effectively and monitor the progress of design projects.

n

- Resolve any issues that may arise during the design process.

n

7. Quality Assurance:

n

- Ensure all design output is consistent with Nykaa's brand guidelines and quality standards.

n

- Conduct regular design reviews and audits.

n

- Maintain design documentation and assets for future reference and use.

Knowledge and Skill / Qualification Requirements

n

- Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
n
- 8-10 years of experience in design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
n
- Solid portfolio showcasing expertise in web and mobile design.
n
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, and prototyping tools like InVision or Marvel.
n
- Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.
n
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
n
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
n
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Experience in the Beauty/fashion e-commerce industry.
