About the Role

n

The Film Editor will be responsible for transforming raw footage, animation, and other visual assets into engaging and impactful stories. The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of storytelling, pacing, rhythm, and visual aesthetics.

n

You will work closely with Directors, Producers, Art Directors, Animators, VFX Artists, and other creative teams to deliver high-quality content from the initial edit to the final output.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Edit films, commercials, branded content, digital videos, and other creative projects.
n
- Work with Directors and creative teams to understand the storytelling and creative vision.
n
- Assemble raw footage, animation, VFX shots, music, sound, and graphics into compelling narratives.
n
- Ensure the right pacing, rhythm, continuity, and emotional impact in every edit.
n
- Collaborate with VFX, Animation, Motion Graphics, Sound, and DI teams during post-production.
n
- Manage multiple projects and deliver edits within agreed timelines.
n
- Organize and manage footage, project files, and media assets efficiently.
n
- Create rough cuts, fine cuts, and final edits based on creative feedback.
n
- Stay updated with current editing techniques, formats, and emerging AI-powered creative tools.
n




- Explore and use AI-assisted workflows to improve efficiency and creative output where relevant.
n

Required Qualifications

n

n
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Film Editing, Media, Film Production, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
n
- 3–7 years of experience as a Film Editor, Video Editor, or Offline Editor.
n
- Strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating storytelling and editing skills.
n
- Experience editing commercials, films, digital content, branded content, or entertainment projects.
n
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, continuity, music, and sound.
n
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced creative environment.
n

Technical Skills

n

n
- Adobe Premiere Pro
n
- Avid Media Composer or DaVinci Resolve
n
- Adobe After Effects – basic to intermediate knowledge preferred
n
- Understanding of post-production and finishing workflows
n
- Knowledge of different video formats, codecs, and delivery requirements
n
- Familiarity with VFX and animation workflows is an advantage
n
- Experience with AI-powered editing or content creation tools is a plus
n

Preferred Qualifications

n

n
- Experience working with Animation, VFX, or AI-generated content.
n
- Knowledge of motion graphics and basic compositing.
n
- Experience in long-form and short-form content.
n
- Familiarity with AI-powered creative and editing tools.
n
- Strong understanding of post-production workflows, including sound, DI, and final delivery.
