- Data Specialization

Role Summary The Business Analyst –

- Data Specialization serves as the critical link between business needs, data quality, and technical execution. This role requires a deep understanding of business objectives to drive system improvements while acting as a hands-on guardian of data health. The primary focus is on analyzing operational resources, independently validating data through SQL, and translating complex data quality challenges into clear narratives for business stakeholders.

This role will be part of a product team specializing in labor market insights and research to support clients’ staffing needs.

Responsibilities

- Strategic Analysis and Solution Definition

Business Problem &
- Data Quality Analysis

- Understand complex business objectives and proactively identify data quality issues.
- Independently execute advanced SQL queries in BigQuery to diagnose anomalies and validate logic without dependency on Data Engineers.

Alternative Solutions
- Identify, analyze, and perform feasibility studies on functionalities requiring granular solutions or improvements to existing functionalities.
- Assess factors such as the impact of data volume on performance.

Data Mapping &
- Business Logic

- Review functional requirements and create mappings between business requirements and data fields.
- Leverage the full potential of underlying data, such as mapping data to heatmaps based on defined distance radii.




- Requirements Elicitation and Documentation

Functional Documentation
- Analyze existing business requirements, data flows, and processes.
- Document functionalities and identify current data gaps.

Logic Definition for Advanced Metrics
- Define and document calculation logic for critical business metrics, including Scarcity, Job Vacancy Rate, Market Tightness, and Time-to-Fill/Cost-per-Hire.

Data Mapping for Data Layers
- Create detailed mapping specifications to support the accurate creation of bronze, silver, and gold data layers.

User Story Development
- Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable functional and non-functional requirements.
- Document requirements as Epics and detailed User Stories with robust acceptance criteria.
- Collaboration and Alignment

Data Quality Management
- Define data quality standards and establish key data health KPIs, including Data Completeness Score, Data Accuracy Rate, and Data Freshness.

Root Cause Prevention
- Trace data anomalies to their source, including ATS and market inputs.
- Develop requirements to prevent data corruption at the point of entry.

Stakeholder Partnership &
- Education

- Collaborate closely with Product Owners and global markets.
- Explain complex data quality issues to business stakeholders in non-technical terms and drive market-level improvements.





Qualifications Candidates must meet or exceed the following required skills and experience:

Data Specialization

- Hands-on experience as a Business Analyst with a data specialization, demonstrating strong analytical and documentation skills.

Advanced SQL Proficiency
- Demonstrated expertise in writing complex queries in BigQuery to independently validate data, debug issues, and support decision-making without technical assistance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Proven ability to work with technical and non-technical teams to analyze complex data-driven business problems and recommend actionable solutions.

Data Workflow Optimization
- Experience designing and optimizing data workflows and data management processes using modeling or mapping tools.

Agile Documentation
- Solid experience writing Epics and User Stories, including acceptance criteria, to communicate functional and non-functional requirements effectively.

Data Documentation
- Experience creating and maintaining data-related documentation, including data dictionaries, BRDs, and data mapping specifications.

Preferred Requirements The following skills and experience are preferred:

GCP Experience

- Working experience with GCP resources, particularly BigQuery, including hands-on querying.

Education

- Bachelor’s degree (3–4 years) in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted.

Talent Intelligence Domain
- Understanding of skills ontologies, matching logic, recruitment KPIs (e.g., Match Quality), and the operational distinctions between RPO/MSP and Staffing models.
