Full Description

Data Eminence is seeking a motivated Software Test Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing software applications throughout the development lifecycle and helping ensure that products meet functional, performance, and quality requirements.

You will collaborate with developers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to identify potential issues and improve the overall quality of our software. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with modern testing methodologies and tools while working remotely.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Creating and executing manual and automated test cases
- Reviewing software requirements and identifying potential testing scenarios
- Performing functional, regression, integration, and system testing
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects
- Reproducing issues and working with developers to resolve them
- Validating bug fixes and conducting regression testing
- Testing web and mobile applications across different devices and browsers
- Supporting API testing and database validation
- Preparing test reports and documenting test results
- Contributing to test plans, test strategies, and quality processes
- Supporting automated testing initiatives where applicable




- Participating in Agile ceremonies and collaborating with development teams
- Continuously improving testing processes and quality standards

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 0-2 years of experience in software testing or a relevant internship
- Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
- Familiarity with manual testing and test case creation
- Understanding of functional, regression, integration, and system testing
- Basic knowledge of SQL and databases
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman is a plus
- Exposure to automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is beneficial
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira
- Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
