Role Description This is a remote, contract Software Engineer role.

The Software

Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain back-end services and APIs that support Spinta Digital’s marketing and technology solutions.

Responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, implementing object-oriented designs, integrating third-party services, and optimizing performance and scalability. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business and marketing requirements into technical solutions, participating in code reviews, and ensuring security and reliability of deployed systems.

Engineer will also troubleshoot production issues, contribute to continuous improvement of the development process, and stay current with modern engineering practices and tools.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming using modern languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and server-side frameworks.
- Solid understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and cooperative development workflows.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and deployment practices (e.g., Docker, CI/CD pipelines) is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with distributed teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience building systems that support digital marketing, analytics, or content platforms is a plus.
