Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Software Engineer - Python based in Pune City, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time.
The Software
Engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that power Akomi’s AI digital staff, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, testable Python code, implementing object-oriented designs, integrating with third-party systems and healthcare workflows, and collaborating with product and AI teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions. The role also involves debugging and optimizing existing systems, participating in code reviews,
contributing to architecture discussions, and maintaining documentation for services and integrations. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver features that improve automation accuracy and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Solid foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience with Software Development and Programming using Python for production systems.
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration with databases.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to design modular, reusable components.
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
- Knowledge of healthcare or workflow automation domains is a plus but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and take ownership of deliverables.
