Role Purpose

n

To manage end-to-end marine insurance claims for clients by ensuring timely claim registration, documentation, coordination with insurers, surveyors, and other stakeholders, while facilitating productive claim settlements and delivering superior client service.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the complete marine claims process from claim intimation to final settlement.
n
- Review policy coverage and assess claim admissibility in line with policy terms and conditions.
n
- Coordinate with insurers, surveyors, shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs authorities, carriers, and clients throughout the claim lifecycle.
n
- Scrutinize claim documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, survey reports, claim bills,



and correspondence.
n
- Liaise with surveyors for timely surveys and obtain survey reports.
n
- Track claim progress and proactively follow up with insurers to ensure timely settlement.
n
- Provide regular claim status updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
n
- Handle claim negotiations and assist in resolving disputes or repudiated claims.
n
- Ensure compliance with insurer guidelines, marine insurance regulations, and internal SOPs.
n
- Maintain accurate claim records, MIS reports, and claim analytics.
n
- Identify trends in claims and recommend preventive measures to reduce claim frequency and severity.
n
- Support the placement team by providing claims insights during policy renewals and client meetings.
