Experience Level: 10+ Years

Role Type: Architect / Technical Lead

Location: Pune / Bangalore / Hyderabad

Position Summary

This role is dedicated to the Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) middleware layer. The architect designs the backbone that allows the infotainment system to interact securely with the rest of the vehicle's zonal controllers via standardized communication stacks.

Key Responsibilities

●Design and maintain the Adaptive AUTOSAR communication stack (ara::com) and middleware layer.

●Architect Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) frameworks, including service modeling, interfaces,

and registry mechanics.

●Implement inter-domain communication paths linking Classic AUTOSAR (CP) body/powertrain modules to Adaptive AUTOSAR (AP) high-performance computes.

●Ensure data stream reliability, deterministic communication, and network security compliance across the vehicle network.

●Define middleware performance and reliability targets, and validate them against automotive network constraints.

●Guide toolchain selection and configuration for Adaptive AUTOSAR development (Vector DaVinci

Adaptive, Elektrobit, or ETAS).

●Review designs and code, mentor engineers, and enforce middleware architecture standards.

Required Technical Skills

●Deep proficiency in Adaptive AUTOSAR SIPs (Vector DaVinci Adaptive, Elektrobit, or ETAS toolchains).

●Modern C++ (C++14/17/20), Object-Oriented Analysis, and POSIX-compliant multi-threading.

●Strong protocol expertise: SOME/IP, SOME/IP-SD, DDS, MQTT, gRPC, and TSN (Time-Sensitive

Networking) over Automotive Ethernet.

●Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR clusters: ara::com, ara::diag, ara::crypto, and Update and

Configuration Management (UCM).

Preferred Skills

●Experience bridging Classic AUTOSAR (CP) and Adaptive AUTOSAR (AP) domains in production programs.

●Exposure to automotive cybersecurity standards (ISO 21434) as applied to communication middleware.

●Familiarity with service discovery, load balancing, or QoS mechanisms in vehicle networks.

●Experience with network security compliance and secure communication design.

Education

●B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

Project Experience

●Demonstrated ownership of Adaptive AUTOSAR middleware architecture on at least one production or pre-production vehicle program.

●Experience integrating Classic and Adaptive AUTOSAR domains across body/powertrain and HPC compute.

Soft Skills

●Solid systems and network architecture judgment.

●Technical leadership and mentoring ability.

●Clear cross-team and customer communication on middleware architecture decisions.

Good to Have

●Experience with TSN-based deterministic networking implementations.

●Familiarity with zonal or domain-controller vehicle architectures.

●Exposure to functional safety (ISO 26262) requirements applied to communication middleware.

Expected Deliverables

●Adaptive AUTOSAR communication stack architecture and middleware specification.

●SOA service models, interfaces, and registry design.

●Cross-domain communication and network security compliance documentation.
