Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Perform electrical design and development for Fluence's grid-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) products. This role focuses on independently owning electrical subsystem design while collaborating across engineering disciplines to develop secure, versatile, maintainable, and cost-competitive products.

Responsibilities Include
Develop and own electrical designs for assigned subsystems within multi-MW energy storage products, including battery systems, power conversion systems, medium-voltage transformers, controls hardware, communication systems, auxiliary power,



and safety equipment.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, datasheets, interface documents, configuration limitations, and product performance metrics.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, verification, testing, manufacturing, and product management teams to achieve program objectives.
Support system integration activities by ensuring assigned subsystem designs are compatible with overall product architecture and meet functional requirements.
Understand interactions between major BESS components and evaluate the impact of engineering changes on system performance, safety, reliability, and cost.
Support development of installation manuals, operation manuals, maintenance documentation, and site design guides.
Perform and review electrical studies including:
Short circuit analysis
Protection sizing
Protection coordination
