Job Summary

The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing & maintaining inventory of raw materials, packaging materials, engineering spares, consumables & finished goods in accordance with Valuable Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Positive Storage Practices (GSP) & company SOPs. The role ensures inventory accuracy, material traceability & compliance with quality & regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management
Receive incoming materials & verify them against PO, delivery challans & invoices.
Ensure proper storage of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods.
Maintain inventory records.
Monitor stock levels & initiate replenishment requests to avoid shortages.
Conduct daily, weekly & monthly stock verification & reconciliation.
Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) inventory practices.

Material Handling
Issue materials to production departments based on approved material requisitions.
Ensure proper labeling, identification & traceability of all materials.




Handle materials safely to prevent damage, contamination, or mix-ups.

Documentation
Maintain accurate records of receipts, issues, transfers & stock balances.
Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), material issue slips & stock reports.
Maintain batch-wise & expiry-wise inventory records.
Ensure all documentation complies with GMP & regulatory requirements.

Compliance & Quality
Follow GMP, GSP, and warehouse SOPs at all times.
Support internal, external & regulatory audits.
Ensure warehouse cleanliness, hygiene & pest control.
Maintain proper storage conditions including temperature
Report damaged, expired, or non-conforming materials to the Quality department.

Coordination
Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC) & Logistics teams.
Assist in planning material availability for production schedules.
Support periodic inventory audits & stock re
