9 Hours per Day
6 Days per Week
On-call availability for nursing and emergency services as per hospital requirements.

Qualification
B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (Mandatory)
M.Sc. Nursing (Preferred)
Valid Karnataka State Nursing Council (KSNC) Registration.

Experience
Minimum 8–10 years of clinical nursing experience.
At least 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Experience in psychiatric, multispecialty, or NABH-accredited hospitals is preferred.

Job Summary

The Nursing Superintendent is responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and evaluating all nursing services within the hospital. The role ensures high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, nursing staff management, infection control, and implementation of NABH standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesNursing Administration
Plan,



organize, supervise, and coordinate all nursing activities.
Ensure adequate nursing manpower and duty roster management.
Monitor nursing care quality and patient safety.
Ensure smooth functioning of OPD, IPD, ICU, Emergency, and specialty units.
Supervise Nursing Supervisors, Staff Nurses, and Nursing Assistants.

Clinical Responsibilities
Ensure implementation of nursing protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Monitor medication administration and patient care practices.
Participate in patient rounds and multidisciplinary meetings.
Ensure prompt response to medical emergencies and code situations.

Staffing & HR Responsibilities
Recruit, orient, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff.
Conduct induction and competency assessments for current nurses.
Prepare monthly duty rosters and leave schedules.
Monitor attendance, discipline, punctuality, and staff performance.
