Job Description: Asst. Manager / Manager – Logistics Procurement

Experience: Minimum 8+ years
Role Objective:
To manage and optimize logistics procurement activities including transportation, warehousing, and supply chain services, ensuring cost efficiency, service quality, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end procurement of logistics services (transportation, warehousing, CFA, 3PL, etc.)
Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize logistics cost and improve service delivery
Manage vendor selection, negotiations, and contract finalization
Drive rate benchmarking and cost-saving initiatives across logistics categories
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (SCM, Sales, Finance) to align procurement strategies with business needs
Monitor vendor performance through KPIs (TAT, cost, service levels, compliance)
Handle RFQs, RFPs, reverse auctions, and contract management
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, audit requirements, and governance frameworks




Identify and implement process improvements and digital initiatives in logistics procurement
Manage risk assessment and ensure continuity planning for logistics operations

Key Requirements:
8+ years of experience in logistics procurement / supply chain sourcing
Solid exposure to transportation contracts, warehousing, and distribution services
Proven experience in vendor negotiation and cost optimization
Familiarity with procurement tools (Procol, SAP Ariba, Coupa, etc.)
Robust analytical and commercial negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration

Preferred Qualifications:
MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain / Operations / Procurement
Experience in FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing, or E-commerce industries
Knowledge of GST, freight cost structures, and logistics regulations
