Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Safety Officer. The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing Health, Safety, and Setting (HSE) requirements, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and JSW safety standards. The role requires close coordination with project teams, client representatives, contractors, and subcontractors to maintain a safe work environment and achieve zero incidents throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Workplace (HSE)
Implement and enforce company HSE policies, JSW safety requirements, and applicable statutory regulations at the project site.
Ensure strict compliance with all client safety procedures, permit systems, and site-specific HSE guidelines.
Promote a proactive safety culture and encourage protected work practices among all employees and contractors.

Site Safety Monitoring
Conduct routine site inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
Perform Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA)



and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before commencement of work.
Monitor critical activities including:
Structural steel fabrication and erection
Piping fabrication and erection
Equipment installation and alignment
Hot work
Work at height
Confined space entry
Lifting and rigging operations
Electrical isolation (LOTO)
Shutdown and maintenance activities
Ensure compliance with the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system for all high-risk activities.

Safety Training & Awareness
Conduct site safety inductions for new employees and contractors.
Deliver daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness programs.
Educate employees on PPE usage, emergency response procedures, hazard reporting, and safe work practices.

Incident Investigation
Investigate accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences, and near misses.
Identify root causes and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
