Your day at NTT DATA The Senior Sales Analytics Specialist is an advanced subject matter expert responsible for converting complex sales data into accurate performance reporting, actionable insights, and strategic decision support for Senior Leadership Team and C-suite stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver recurring and ad hoc reporting across pipeline, bookings, revenue, gross profit, forecast, target attainment, and account performance.
- Identify performance trends, underlying drivers, risks, gaps, and growth opportunities using internal and external data.
- Explain what has changed, why it has changed, what may happen next, and where management action is required.
- Support business planning and strategic decision-making through forward-looking insights and clear recommendations.
- Translate leadership questions into structured reports, metrics, scorecards, and management views.
- Define and document business requirements for reports and dashboards.
- Validate and reconcile data across Salesforce, finance, bookings, revenue, and other reporting sources.
- Prepare and present concise, executive-ready reports and PowerPoint presentations.
- Manage stakeholder expectations relating to timelines, data availability, definitions, assumptions, and limitations.
- Lead tactical and strategic initiatives with cross-functional and virtual teams.
- Work with CRM, finance, sales operations, reporting, and data teams to improve reporting quality, consistency, and scalability.
- Use AI-enabled tools to improve research, reporting, insight generation, and presentation development while validating all outputs.
- Provide subject matter advice and support to relevant teams.
- Perform any other related responsibilities as require
To thrive in this role, you need to have
- Strong understanding of sales performance management and executive reporting.
- Robust knowledge of pipeline, bookings, revenue, gross profit, forecast, and target attainment.
- Good understanding of Salesforce opportunity, account, pipeline, and forecast data.
- Strong business judgement and the ability to identify the key management message from complex information.
- Confidence to challenge data, assumptions, and conclusions when they do not appear commercially reasonable.
- Excellent stakeholder-management skills and the ability to work confidently with Senior Leadership Team and C-suite audiences.
- Excellent written communication, presentation, and business storytelling skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint skills.
- Practical experience using generative AI and AI-enabled productivity tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver accurate outputs within tight deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across global, cross-functional, and virtual teams.
Required experience
- 8–15 years of relevant skilled experience.
- Demonstrated experience in sales performance reporting, management reporting, commercial reporting, or a similar business-facing role.
- Experience working with Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Experience preparing and presenting materials for senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Experience supporting business planning and strategic decision-making.
- Experience working in a complex, global, or matrixed organisation.
Desirable experience
- Experience within IT services, technology services, consulting, qualified services, or another complex B2B organisation.
- Experience supporting monthly business reviews, quarterly business reviews, or executive performance reviews.
Academic qualifications
- Master's degree preferred; bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, analytics, data science, or a related field is required.
