About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Engineer with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, hands-on manual testing experience, and the ability to contribute to automation within a BDD-based framework.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable understanding functional requirements, identifying quality risks, executing manual test coverage, reading automation code, making small changes to existing automated test cases, and adding current scenarios using Gherkin/BDD practices. Experience in the Gaming/Casino domain is preferred.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, identify quality risks, and create effective test scenarios and test cases.

- Perform manual functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing across application workflows.





- Read and understand existing automation code, update automated test cases, fix minor script issues, and maintain test stability.

- Add new automated scenarios in the BDD framework using transparent Gherkin specifications aligned with business rules and acceptance criteria.

- Validate REST APIs, databases, logs, and end-to-end workflows to ensure data accuracy and functional correctness.

- Identify, track, and verify defects using JIRA.

- Collaborate with Product, Development, DevOps, and SRE teams to support shift-left quality practices throughout the SDLC.

Required Skills and Experience

- 4+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, with strong exposure to manual testing and basic automation contribution.

- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Defect Life Cycle.

- Strong hands-on experience in manual test design, execution, defect analysis, and regression validation.

- Ability to read and understand automation code, debug test failures, and make updates to existing automated test cases.

- Experience in writing or enhancing Gherkin scenarios within a BDD framework such as Cucumber, Behave, or similar tools.

- Working knowledge of Playwright or similar UI automation tools, preferably with Python-based test automation.

- API testing using Postman.

- Basic SQL and database validation.

- Programming knowledge in Python, with the ability to understand existing code structure and implement small, reviewable changes.

- Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, ownership mindset, and clear communication skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in the Gaming/Casino domain (Blackjack, Baccarat, Roulette, Poker, etc.).

- Knowledge of performance testing (JMeter/K6) and Linux.

- Knowledge of pytest, or similar Python testing frameworks.

- Understanding of containerization or cloud-based test execution environments is an advantage.
