Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance & Stage Inspection

- Material & Document Verification: Verify incoming raw materials (plates, pipes, forgings, structural sections, and welding consumables) against material test certificates (MTCs), ASME/ASTM specifications, and PO requirements.
- Stage-Wise Inspection: Conduct stage inspections including layout marking, edge preparation, fit-up verification, dimensional checks, visual weld inspection, and structural assembly monitoring as per approved General Arrangement (GA) drawings and weld symbols.
- WPS/PQR & Welder Review: Review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and verify Welder Qualification Records (WQR) prior to fabrication execution.
- Witnessing Testing: Witness and evaluate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods (UT, MT, PT, RT), hydrostatic/pneumatic pressure testing, hardness testing, and PWHT cycles.
- Surface Preparation & Coating Inspection: Inspect blast cleaning profile, environmental parameters, dry film thickness (DFT), and surface coating application as per client/project standards.
- NCR Management & Final Release: Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), track root-cause analyses, verify corrective/preventive action implementation (CAPA), compile final quality dossiers, and issue Inspection Release Notes (IRN).

2. Production Monitoring & Expediting

- Schedule Tracking: Monitor day-to-day shop floor progress against approved Master Manufacturing Schedules (L2/L3 schedules) and PO delivery commitment dates.
- Material & Sub-Tier Flow: Track raw material availability, cutting lists, sub-contractor operations, bought-out items,



and heat treatment cycles to identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks early.
- Bottleneck Resolution & Recovery Plans: Coordinate directly with vendor production, engineering, and procurement teams to flag delays and establish schedule recovery plans.
- Reporting & Communication: Generate daily and weekly site status reports incorporating photographic documentation, milestone completion percentages, risk matrices, and physical progress metrics for Inspax project managers and client stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile Required Qualifications & Experience

- Educational Background: B.Tech / B.E. degree in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, or Metallurgy Engineering from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance and manufacturing expediting for heavy structural fabrication, pressure vessels, boilers, heat exchangers, tanks, or heavy equipment.

- Mandatory Technical Certifications:
- NDT Level II in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Radiographic Testing (RT) evaluation, and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) as per ASNT TC-1A / PCN.
- Certified Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI or CSWIP 3.1).
- Desirable Certifications: NACE / BGAS Level 2 Coating Inspection Certification.
- Codes & Standards Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of ASME Sec II, V, VIII, IX, AWS D1.1, EN standards, ISO 9001, and relevant IS codes.
- Skills: Expert drawing interpretation (GA drawings, isometric, structural fabrication details), vendor auditing, report preparation, and proactive stakeholder coordination.
