Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager – Mechanical Engineering to lead multiple engineering projects and teams for a global customer. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background, excellent project management skills, and proven experience in customer and stakeholder management.

The role involves managing project planning, resources, risks, delivery, customer relationships, and overall project governance in an engineering services environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage multiple mechanical engineering and product development projects.
- Manage engineering teams, resources, project timelines, and deliverables.
- Plan project scope, schedules, resources, and priorities to ensure successful delivery.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
- Drive project governance, reviews, reporting, and performance tracking.
- Act as a key point of contact for global customers and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Manage project execution under Time & Material (T&M;) and Work Package / Fixed-Scope models.
- Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Monitor resource utilization, productivity, project financials, and delivery performance.
- Provide regular project status updates and presentations to customers and senior management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and ensure continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability for project outcomes.

Required Qualifications & Skills




- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 12–15+ years of overall experience, with strong experience in project management.
- Strong background in mechanical engineering and engineering/product development projects.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects and engineering teams.
- Strong experience in customer and stakeholder management.
- Experience in project planning, resource management, risk management, and delivery governance.
- Experience working with global customers.
- Good understanding of T&M; and Work Package / Fixed-Scope project execution.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Strong problem-solving, ownership, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in Resource Augmentation (RA) models.
- Experience in automotive, mobility, or industrial engineering.
- Experience working in an ODC / Engineering Services environment.
- Exposure to project financials, utilization, and productivity metrics.
- Experience managing mechanical engineering projects.
- Strong people management and team leadership experience.
- Good business and commercial awareness.
