Senior Project Engineer – Rooftop Solar

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer – Rooftop Solar to manage and execute rooftop solar EPC projects from planning through commissioning. The candidate will be responsible for site coordination, technical execution, vendor/labour management, material planning, quality and safety compliance, and supporting techno-commercial proposals and site assessments.

Key Responsibilities

Execute rooftop solar EPC projects end-to-end, from planning and site coordination to installation, testing, and commissioning.

Coordinate with site teams, vendors, labour contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.

Prepare and interpret Electrical SLDs and AC/DC system layouts.

Prepare and review Bill of Materials (BOM) based on project requirements.

Coordinate with the Purchase team for material procurement and logistics.

Monitor project timelines, material availability, installation progress, and site requirements.

Ensure compliance with project quality standards and safety procedures.

Conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments for new rooftop solar projects.

Assist in preparing techno-commercial proposals, project estimates, and technical documentation.

Identify and resolve technical and site-related issues during project execution.





Coordinate with the O&M; team and provide technical support for post-commissioning issues.

Prepare project reports, site documentation, and progress updates.

Travel to project sites across India for execution, assessment, commissioning, and O&M; support.

Qualifications & Experience

B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.

2–3 years of relevant experience in Solar EPC / Rooftop Solar / Electrical Projects.

Strong understanding of Electrical SLDs, AC/DC systems, and BOM preparation.

AutoCAD 2D and 3D proficiency is mandatory.

Candidates who do not have AutoCAD 3D knowledge will be required to complete the course at their own cost before confirmation.

Required Skills

Strong project and site coordination skills.

Good technical and problem-solving ability.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical layouts.

Positive vendor, labour, and client coordination skills.

Fluent in English and Hindi; Marathi will be an advantage.

Strong willingness to travel frequently across India.

We are looking for a hands-on and technically capable Project Engineer who can independently handle site responsibilities, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, resolve project issues, and ensure smooth execution of rooftop solar projects.
