Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Patent Prosecution Professional to independently manage and oversee patent prosecution matters before the Indian Patent Office and, where applicable, coordinate prosecution activities across international jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Independently manage patent prosecution matters from filing through grant.
- Review patent specifications, claims, drawings and supporting documents for technical and legal quality.
- Prepare and review responses to First Examination Reports (FERs) and other Patent Office objections.
- Draft written submissions, amendments, hearing submissions and other prosecution documents.
- Conduct detailed analysis of patent claims with respect to novelty, inventive step, enablement and other applicable requirements.
- Coordinate PCT, National Phase and foreign patent prosecution matters with client

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Strong understanding of the Patents Act, Patent Rules and Patent Office procedures.
- Strong claim interpretation and claim analysis skills.
- Excellent drafting, analytical and legal research skills.




- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Technology Background: Candidates with strong technical expertise in one or more of the following domains will be preferred:

- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Electronics & Communication
- Mechanical Engineering
- Biotechnology
- Chemical Engineering / Chemistry

Qualification:

- Registered Indian Patent Agent preferred.
- B.Tech / M.Tech / B.E. / M.E. or equivalent technical qualification in a relevant technology domain.

Experience:

- 5–8+ years of relevant experience in patent prosecution, preferably with an IP law firm, patent consultancy or in-house IP team.
