Key Responsibilities:
Carry out and supervise assembly of BIW welding fixtures, robotic welding stations, geo fixtures, re-spot fixtures, and checking fixtures as per approved engineering drawings.
Interpret fixture design drawings, assembly layouts, pneumatic schematics, and BOMs for accurate assembly .
Ensure compliance with customer standards and project specifications during fixture assembly.
Coordinate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Controls, and Project Management teams for smooth project execution.
Conduct dimensional verification and assembly quality checks before fixture trials and dispatch.
Troubleshoot assembly-related issues and implement corrective actions to minimize rework.
Monitor assembly schedules and ensure project milestones are achieved within committed timelines.
Support fixture try-out, buy-off, installation, and commissioning activities at customer sites whenever required.
Maintain assembly documentation, progress reports, and issue logs.
Ensure proper utilization of manpower, tools, and assembly resources.
Preferred Experience:
5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in BIW Fixture Assembly.
Experience in fixture trials, customer buy-offs, and site installation activities.
Exposure to automotive OEM and Tier-1 supplier projects.
