Consultant – Automation Run Book Analyst

Location: Chennai
Work Mode: Hybrid-3 Days
Experience: 6+ Years

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automation run books for IT Operations and Managed Services.
Build automation solutions for incident diagnosis, remediation, and operational tasks.
Work with automation and orchestration platforms such as Ansible, ServiceNow Orchestration/IntegrationHub, Rundeck, Microsoft SCORCH, or RPA tools.
Develop diagnostic and remediation scripts using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ksh.
Integrate automation with ITSM platforms and incident/event management processes.
Work with monitoring and observability tools to consume alerts and trigger automated remediation.
Develop integrations using REST APIs, JSON, XML, webhooks, and other integration mechanisms.
Create transparent and auditable SOPs, technical procedures, flowcharts, and decision trees.
Ensure automation solutions follow ITIL processes and operational best practices.
Collaborate with IT Operations, Service Management,



and engineering teams to identify automation opportunities.
Troubleshoot automation failures and continuously improve existing run books.

Required Skills
6–10 years of experience in IT Operations / Managed Services.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience specifically in automation, orchestration, or run book engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with at least one automation/orchestration platform:
Ansible
ServiceNow Workflow / IntegrationHub / Orchestration
Rundeck
Microsoft SCORCH
UiPath / Automation Anywhere / Blue Prism
Solid scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ksh.
Positive understanding of ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus.
Experience integrating automation with incident and event management.
Working knowledge of monitoring/observability tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Splunk, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
