A Senior Purchase Engineer manages strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and procurement of technical materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery for engineering projects
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for technical materials, including auditing vendor production systems.
Technical Evaluation: Review engineering drawings and specifications to align purchases with project requirements.
Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers to maximize value.
Project Coordination: Coordinate with project managers to align purchasing with project schedules, including tracking delivery and managing inventory.
Cost Control & Reporting: Develop procurement strategies for cost savings, prepare budget-based procurement, and monitor vendor performance.
Compliance: Ensure all procurement transactions meet safety, legal, and environmental standards.
