Wits Innovation Lab is looking for an experienced Android Developer with solid hands-on experience in developing, enhancing, and maintaining scalable mobile applications. The candidate should have a good understanding of contemporary Android development practices and mobile application architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications.
Develop user-friendly and responsive mobile applications using Kotlin and Java.
Integrate REST APIs and work with backend services.
Implement and maintain applications using MVVM architecture.
Troubleshoot bugs and optimize application performance.
Collaborate with developers, QA, UI/UX teams, and other stakeholders.
Participate in code reviews and follow clean coding practices.
Use Git for source code management and team collaboration.
Required Skills
4+ years of experience in Android Application Development.
Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and Java.
Good knowledge of Android SDK.
Experience with REST API integration.
Robust understanding of MVVM architecture.
Positive experience with Git/version control.
Understanding of the complete mobile application development lifecycle.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Experience with up-to-date Android development practices.
Knowledge of mobile application performance optimization.
