ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager General Ledger Accounting & Review to support the Finance & Accounting function across multiple entities. The role will be responsible for General Ledger review, account reconciliations, month-end close, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.

The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded accounting skilled with robust General Ledger expertise, capable of independently reviewing accounts, analyzing accounting transactions, identifying discrepancies, and driving timely resolution of reconciling items.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

GENERAL LEDGER REVIEW
Review and analyze GL accounts for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate accounting treatment.
Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, reclassifications, and other accounting adjustments.
Ensure transactions are recorded in the correct accounting period and appropriate GL accounts.
Identify unusual transactions, errors, or inconsistencies and ensure timely correction.

BALANCE SHEET & P&L; RECONCILIATION




Own and perform detailed Balance Sheet and P&L; account reconciliations.
Reconcile bank, AR, AP, payroll, tax, prepaid, fixed assets, accruals, and other GL accounts.
Investigate reconciling items and identify the underlying accounting differences.
Ensure aged and unexplained balances are followed up and cleared in a timely manner.

MONTH-END CLOSE
Manage assigned month-end close activities within established timelines.
Prepare and review month-end journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reclassifications.
Ensure key GL accounts are reviewed and reconciled before close.
Coordinate with Finance teams to resolve issues impacting the month-end close.

ACCOUNT REVIEW & ISSUE RESOLUTION
Review account movements and supporting schedules for completeness and accuracy.
Investigate discrepancies between the GL and supporting records.
Identify root causes of accounting differences and coordina
