Job Summary
The Workplace In charge will be responsible for overseeing waste management and sewage management operations, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, managing waste handling and disposal processes, monitoring sewage treatment facilities, and driving sustainable environmental practices. The position will play a critical role in maintaining statutory compliance, minimizing environmental impact, and improving resource efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Waste Management
Plan, implement, and monitor solid waste, hazardous waste, and non-hazardous waste management activities.
Ensure proper segregation,
storage, transportation, recycling, and disposal of waste as per applicable regulations.
Monitor waste generation trends and identify opportunities for waste reduction and resource recovery.
Coordinate with authorized waste recyclers, transporters, and disposal agencies.
Maintain records and documentation related to waste handling and disposal.
Sewage Management
Oversee operation and maintenance of Sewage Treatment Plants (STP).
Monitor sewage collection, treatment, disposal, and reuse systems.
Ensure treated water quality meets regulatory standards and prescribed norms.
Coordinate preventive maintenance activities for STP equipment and utilities.
Monitor water consumption and identify opportunities for wastewater recycling and reuse.
Environmental Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws, regulations, permits, and statutory requirements.
