We are looking for an experienced
QC Chemist
for our modified starch manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities & Required Knowledge:
Testing of
Cationic Starch
, including
Nitrogen % and Degree of Substitution (DS)
Testing and DS determination of
Carboxymethyl Starch (CMS)
Hands-on knowledge of
Kjeldahl testing
for determination of
Nitrogen / Protein content
Routine quality control testing of
native and modified starches
Preparation and standardization of laboratory reagents
Maintaining QC records, test reports and laboratory documentation
Troubleshooting and supporting recent product development
Preferred Candidate:
B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry or related field
Previous experience in a
starch, modified starch, food ingredients or chemical laboratory
preferred
Robust hands-on analytical and wet-chemistry skills
Experience with Kjeldahl apparatus and starch testing will be highly preferred
