Job Title: Welfare Officer
Department: HR / Administration
Reports To: HR Manager / Plant Head / Management

Job Summary:
The Welfare Officer is responsible for ensuring employee welfare, statutory compliance, workplace facilities, and employee engagement. The role acts as a bridge between employees and management and ensures that welfare-related requirements are properly addressed.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and employee welfare provisions.
Manage statutory welfare facilities such as canteen, drinking water, sanitation, rest rooms, first aid, transportation, and other employee amenities.
Handle employee grievances and coordinate with management for timely resolution.
Conduct regular welfare inspections and identify areas requiring improvement.
Maintain welfare-related records, registers, notices, and documentation.
Coordinate employee engagement, awareness, and welfare activities.
Support HR in disciplinary matters, employee communication, and workplace relations.
Liaise with government/labour authorities when required.




Assist in ensuring compliance during labour department inspections.
Coordinate with EHS/HR teams on health, safety, and employee well-being initiatives.
Prepare welfare reports and provide regular updates to management.
Support contract labour welfare and ensure required facilities are available.
Promote a positive and healthy employee-management relationship.

Eligibility:
Qualification : MSW
Relevant experience in industrial/plant HR and employee welfare.
Knowledge of applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
Valuable communication, interpersonal, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
