Job Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Quality Control Engineer/Inspector to ensure the quality and dimensional accuracy of sheet metal products across our vendor network.

This is a field-oriented role involving regular travel to different vendor locations in and around Mumbai for inspection and quality follow-up.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Inspection & Testing
Perform visual and dimensional inspection of sheet metal/fabricated components.
Verify products against engineering drawings, specifications and samples.
Coordinate NDT and quality tests such as UT, MPT, DFT, Impact Test, etc.
Inspect welding, bending, fabrication, surface finish and workmanship.
Supervise the loading of Container / Trucks at vendor’s place.
Preparation of packing list
Ensure the proper labelling on the product and packing quality
Quality Assurance




Implement and follow quality procedures at various stages of manufacturing.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
Root Cause Analysis
Investigate quality issues and identify root causes.
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for corrective and preventive actions.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain inspection reports, measurement records and quality documentation.
Prepare rejection, inspection and basic quality trend reports.
Supplier / Vendor Quality Management
Conduct incoming inspection of raw materials and components.
Visit vendors for inspection and follow-up on quality issues.
Coordinate with vendors and procurement teams to resolve quality concerns.
Training & Improvement
Guide production/vendor teams on quality requirements and inspection practices.
Support continuous improvement and reduction of rejection/rework.

Requirements
ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering /
