Role & responsibilities
Lead end-to-end plant maintenance operations for manufacturing machinery, equipment and utilities, ensuring maximum equipment uptime and production continuity.
Develop and implement preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance programs to improve plant reliability and reduce downtime.
Manage maintenance of CNC machines, fabrication machinery, welding equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, DG sets, compressors, electrical systems and other plant utilities.
Lead troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and automation-related equipment failures.
Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions for recurring equipment breakdowns.
Monitor and improve maintenance KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, equipment availability, downtime and maintenance cost.
Manage maintenance planning, critical spares, spare-parts inventory, asset lifecycle and annual maintenance budgets.
Lead and develop a team of maintenance engineers, technicians, electricians and contract maintenance personnel.
Coordinate with Production,



Quality, Safety and Manufacturing teams to plan maintenance activities without impacting production schedules.
Implement and strengthen CMMS-based maintenance systems, maintenance documentation and asset registers.
Drive TPM, Kaizen, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant reliability and operational efficiency.
Support PLC, SCADA, VFD, sensors and industrial automation troubleshooting and improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures, statutory requirements, ISO systems and environmental standards.
Identify and implement energy-saving and maintenance-cost reduction initiatives across plant machinery and utilities.
Evaluate equipment condition, maintenance trends and failure history to develop long-term reliability improvement plans.
