Our teams operate from multiple global delivery centers, supporting Zurich’s business units worldwide.

Role Objective &Alignment; to GCC Vision:

This role is a core contributor to Zurich’s AI native Global Capability Center (GCC), where Network & Security Operations is delivered with built in intelligence, automation, and continuous optimization from day one.

The Senior DDI Engineer is expected to engineer and operate global DNS/DHCP/IPAM services and to systematically augment DDI delivery using AI assisted observability, anomaly detection, incident triage, and automated remediation recommendations. The role enables higher availability, faster time to restore, improved change success rates, and scalable operations across hybrid and multi cloud environments.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Senior DDI Engineer to join Network & Security Operations (NetSec Ops). This role is responsible for the design, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise DDI (DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management) services at global scale.

You will operate and evolve the Blue Cat DDI platform (experience with Infoblox or equivalent enterprise DDI solutions is acceptable). You will partner with Network, Security, Cloud, and Operations teams to improve reliability, resiliency, and delivery efficiency while leveraging enterprise approved AI capabilities to strengthen observability and accelerate troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and support enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services (authoritative, recursive, caching; internal and external).
- Design and maintain resilient, multi region DDI architectures across on premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Own incidents and problem management for DDI: triage, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and prevention actions.
- Apply standards, governance, and change control for DDI services, ensuring high change success rate and audit ready documentation.




- Integrate DDI with security and network services(e.g., logging/telemetry, threat detection, service discovery, load balancing) to improve end to end service resilience.
- Drive DDI transformation initiatives including automation, cloud adoption, and services capability.
- Contribute to operational maturity: runbooks, monitoring standards, SLO/SLA tracking and continuous improvement.
- Participate in on call rotations supporting global operations.

AI Driven Outcomes Expected from This Role:

- Improved DDI reliability through AI assisted observability and early detection of abnormal DNS query patterns, latency spikes, cache hit degradation, and failure trends.
- Faster incident triage and root cause isolation by using AI assisted correlation across
- DNS/DHCP logs, metrics, topology/dependency data, and recent changes.
- Reduced MTTR by applying AI supported remediation suggestions (e.g., configuration rollback candidates, likely upstream dependency failures) with engineer validation and change controls.
- Proactive risk reduction via AI assisted trend analysis to identify capacity hot spots, misconfigurations, and resilience gaps before customer impact.
- Higher operational efficiency by using AI to accelerate impact analysis, generate clear incident summaries, and standardize diagnostics and runbook updates.

AI Related Capabilities & Skills (Outcome Focused):

AI Enabled Delivery& Engineering:

- Demonstrated ability to use AI assisted capabilities available within approved enterprise platforms to accelerate troubleshooting, change impact analysis, and documentation.
- Ability to translate DDI problem statements into well structured prompts/queries that improve signal to noise in logs/telemetry and quickly surface likely causes.
- Experience validating AI assisted outputs against evidence (resolver behaviour, logs/metrics, packet paths) before execution; understands safe use boundaries in security environments.
- Ability to use AI assistance to draft and refine automation artifacts (scripts, API calls, IaC snippets) with peer review and testing before production use.

- Intelligent Network Operations:

- Capability to leverage AI supported insights to identify recurring DDI failure patterns (e.g., resolution timeouts, recursion failures, DHCP scope exhaustion) and translate them into preventative controls.
- Ability to build and tune AI informed detections for anomalies (query spikes, NXDOMAIN bursts, unusual recursion behaviour) to reduce false positives and improve signal quality.




- Strong understanding of where AI can augment—but not replace engineering judgement, change governance, and accountability in network operations.

Core Technical Skills:

- Deep expertise in enterprise DNS (authoritative/recursive), DHCP, and IPAM designand operations at scale.
- Hands on experience with BlueCat, Infoblox, or equivalent DDI platforms, including multi site resiliency and operational tooling.
- Strong troubleshooting across DNS resolution paths, performance/latency, caching behaviour, and dependency chains.
- Hybrid/multi cloud networking fundamentals (AWS and Azure DNS constructs, routing, security controls, certificates/TLS).
- Experience with ITSM and change management processes (ServiceNow preferred); ability to produce audit ready evidence.
- Automation mindset: APIs, scripting, and/or infrastructure as code for repeatable DDI provisioning and health checks (nice to have).

Required Experience:

- 5+ years of hands-on experience operating enterprise DDI platforms (BlueCat, Infoblox, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM fundamentals in large enterprise environments.
- Experience operating DDI services in hybrid (on premises and public cloud) environments.
- Proven incident management and root cause analysis capability for high impact DDI issues.
- Experience working in SLA driven, globally distributed operations teams, including on call.
- Solid communication and stakeholder coordination skills across Network, Security, Cloud, and Operations.
