Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced GCP Solution Architect to support a strategic cloud transformation initiative involving the migration of enterprise workloads from Microsoft Azure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role will serve as the primary architecture advisor for platform teams, providing guidance on solution architecture, cloud infrastructure design, networking, DevOps enablement, and target-state operating models.

The ideal candidate should possess strong consulting and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient GCP architectures.

Experience

- 10+ years of total IT experience.
- 6+ years of experience in a Cloud Architect / Solution Architect role.
- Prior experience in cloud consulting, pre-sales, cloud transformation, or enterprise architecture functions.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale solutions on GCP.
- Experience supporting Azure-to-GCP migration or multi-cloud environments is preferred.

Key Responsibilities Architecture & Advisory

- Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures on GCP.
- Create high-level and low-level solution architecture documents.
- Develop architecture blueprints, deployment patterns, and reference architectures.
- Produce infrastructure diagrams, network topologies, and solution design artefacts.
- Advise development and platform teams on best practices for GCP adoption.

Cloud Transformation

- Provide strategic guidance during Azure-to-GCP migration initiatives.
- Assess existing Azure services and recommend equivalent or optimized GCP services.
- Support workload migration planning, architecture reviews, and technical decision-making.




- Define landing zone requirements and cloud governance considerations.

Networking & Infrastructure

- Design GCP networking architectures including:

- VPCs

- Shared VPC

- Subnets

- Interconnects

- VPNs

- Load Balancers

- DNS and routing

- Security controls and segmentation
- Provide guidance on infrastructure sizing, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.

DevOps & Platform Engineering

- Design and review CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
- Guide teams on Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
- Support containerized and Kubernetes-based deployments (GKE).
- Recommend DevOps best practices, automation frameworks, and release management processes.
- Enable platform teams to efficiently provision and operate cloud services.

Stakeholder Management

- Work closely with product owners, application teams, security teams, and leadership stakeholders.
- Conduct architecture workshops, design reviews, and technical consultations.
- Present architecture recommendations and implementation roadmaps to technical and non-technical audiences.

- Support the overall Azure-to-GCP transformation journey.

Ideal Candidate Profile: Enterprise Cloud Architect with 6+ years of architecture experience in Cloud Consulting, Pre-Sales, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) functions, possessing deep expertise in GCP architecture and strong DevOps engineering knowledge.
