Digital Transaction Monitoring & EOD Operations Executive

Job Purpose

To monitor digital banking transactions and to assist in End-of-Day (EOD) activities for Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd, ensuring timely identification of transaction failures, reconciliation issues, service disruptions, and customer-impacting incidents. The role involves proactive monitoring, incident escalation, reporting, and coordination with internal technology, operations, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

A. Digital Transaction Monitoring
Continuously monitor transaction flow across:
UPI
IMPS
NEFT
RTGS
Mobile Banking
Internet Banking
ATM & Debit Card transactions
Payment Gateway transactions
NACH and CTS transactions
Loan Origination System APIs
Finacle CBS interfaces and middleware platforms
Monitor transaction success/failure ratios and identify abnormal transaction trends.
Detect transaction drops, timeout issues, interface failures, duplicate transactions, and settlement exceptions.
Monitor NPCI, CBS, middleware, switch,



and payment channel alerts.
Escalate service interruptions and transaction failures as per defined escalation matrix.
Coordinate with vendors, application teams, and business users for issue resolution.
Ensure timely restoration of critical banking services.
Daily Digital Channel Health Report.
Log the issues in ITSM Ticketing too
Transaction Monitoring Dashboard Updates.

B. End-of-Day (EOD) Monitoring Activities
Assist the Bank EOD Officer for completion of CBS EOD/BOD activities.
Verify successful completion of batch jobs and interfaces.
Monitor reconciliation processes and settlement reports. Sending emails to Stakeholders.
Validate end-of-day transaction posting status.
Track pending, rejected, or failed transactions.
Escalate unresolved exceptions before business day closure.
Generate daily EOD operational reports.
Escalate the issues as per the escalation matrix shared.
