A nurse in a fertility/IVF clinic mainly supports patients throughout their fertility treatment.
Her role includes giving injections and medicines, preparing patients for IVF/IUI procedures, assisting doctors during procedures, monitoring patients, maintaining medical records, coordinating tests and appointments, and explaining medication/treatment instructions.
She also provides emotional support and counselling, as fertility treatment can be stressful for patients.
Usually, the qualification required is GNM or B.Sc. Nursing, and experience in IVF, gynaecology or maternity care is added advantage
