Role Overview

We are looking for an L2 Application Support Engineer to support business-critical applications in a production setting. The role involves incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, monitoring, and application support with moderate Java coding exposure. Candidates should have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work closely with development teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Provide L2 support for production applications and resolve incidents within SLA.
Troubleshoot application, database, and system-related issues.
Analyze logs, identify patterns, perform root cause analysis, and recommend fixes.
Support application releases, deployments, and operational activities.
Develop straightforward enhancements, automation scripts, and bug fixes where required.
Collaborate with Application Development, Infrastructure, and Business teams.




Create and maintain support documentation and knowledge articles.

Required Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Robust understanding of Data Structures and Computer Science fundamentals.
Experience in problem-solving within development or production support environments.
Working knowledge of Java (moderate coding proficiency).
Strong SQL skills with experience in Oracle, DB2, Sybase, or similar RDBMS.
Good knowledge of Linux/Unix commands and troubleshooting.
Experience with scripting using Shell, Python, JavaScript, or Perl.
Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
Experience in Financial Services / Investment Banking domain.
Exposure to ITIL Incident and Problem Management processes.
Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, and cloud environments.
Experience with monitoring and support tools.
