The Maintenance Executive is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all plant machinery, utilities, and equipment through preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance. The role focuses on minimizing machine downtime, improving equipment reliability, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining proper maintenance records.
Key Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance
Execute preventive maintenance schedules for all production machinery and utilities.
Ensure timely servicing, lubrication, calibration, and inspection of equipment.
Maintain preventive maintenance checklists and records.
Coordinate with production to plan maintenance activities without affecting production targets.
Breakdown Maintenance
Attend machine breakdowns immediately and restore operations with minimum downtime.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
Identify root causes of recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
Monitor Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
Utilities Management
Monitor and maintain:
Air Compressors
Boilers (if applicable)
Chillers
Cooling Towers
DG Sets
Electrical Panels
Water Pumps
HVAC Systems
Ensure uninterrupted utility supply to production.
Spare Parts Management
Maintain critical spare inventory.
Raise purchase requisitions for required spare parts.
Verify received materials and maintain stock records.
Control maintenance costs through proper inventory planning.
Installation & Improvement
Assist in installation and commissioning of recent machinery.
Participate in machine shifting, modifications, and upgrades.
Suggest automation and process improvement initiatives.
Implement cost-saving and energy-saving projects.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure secure maintenance practices and use of PPE.
Follow Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedur
