Job Summary

Responsible for end-to-end meter reading and bill distribution operations, ensuring timely and accurate meter readings across billing cycles, adherence to defined TATs and regulatory requirements, reduction of estimated/incorrect readings and Bill Not Received (BNR) complaints.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and monitor monthly meter reading schedules across billing cycles.

- Prepare and upload monthly AMI plans in SAP.

- Allocate Meter Reading Units (MRUs) to field manpower as per approved schedules.

- Monitor AMI/HES-based remote readings and manual meter readings using optical cord and mobile applications.

- Track completed, pending, locked, no-access and meter-not-found cases and ensure follow-up visits.

- Scrutinize abnormal, inconsistent and out-sort readings and coordinate with the Screening/Billing teams.

- Monitor estimation and unbilled cases and ensure timely closure.

- Manage Book/MRU allocation in SAP and BDTS for bill delivery personnel.

- Coordinate with printing agencies and AEML teams for receipt and distribution of printed electricity bills.

- Monitor physical bill delivery, mobile application status updates and Proof of Delivery (POD).

- Coordinate manpower deployment, job allocation,



attendance and productivity of meter readers and bill delivery personnel.

- Handle customer complaints related to meter reading and bill distribution.

- Coordinate with internal teams including Customer Service, Recovery, Legal, Meter Management, Vigilance and Maintenance.

- Monitor deviation/objection cases and coordinate required approvals and execution.

- Ensure compliance with Electricity Act, MERC regulations, CEA requirements, PWD guidelines and AEML SOPs.

- Support audit readiness, data integrity, safety compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

- B.E. in Electrical Engineering.

- 12 years of experience in utility operations, power distribution, metering or B2B/B2C customer-facing operations.

- Good understanding of meter reading and electricity billing processes.

- Knowledge of SAP, GIS, MS Office and mobile applications.

- Exposure to AMI/HES, smart metering or optical meter reading will be preferred.

- Robust analytical, coordination and customer-handling skills.

- Good English communication and drafting skills.

- Comfortable with field operations and coordination with manpower/vendor teams.
