L1 Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer - SD-WAN, WAN &

- Backbone Monitoring\\r\\nJob Summary\\r\\nWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented L1 NOC Engineer to monitor and support enterprise SD-WAN, WAN, Internet, and Backbone network infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for 24x7 network monitoring, incident detection, first-level troubleshooting, ticket management, and timely escalation to higher support teams, ensuring maximum network availability and performance.\\r\\n

Key Responsibilities

Network Monitoring &

- Operations\\r\\n• Monitor SD-WAN, WAN, MPLS, Internet, Backbone, and LAN network infrastructure using network monitoring tools.\\r\\n• Identify, analyze, and respond to network alarms, alerts, and events.\\r\\n• Perform proactive monitoring to detect network degradation and potential outages.\\r\\n• Monitor circuit utilization, packet loss, latency, jitter, and bandwidth consumption.\\r\\n• Ensure adherence to SLAs and operational procedures.\\r\\nIncident Management\\r\\n• Perform first-level troubleshooting for network incidents.\\r\\n• Create, update, and manage incident tickets in ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.).\\r\\n• Classify incidents based on severity and impact.\\r\\n• Escalate unresolved or critical issues to L2/L3 support teams and service providers.\\r\\n• Track incidents until closure and maintain communication with stakeholders.\\r\\nSD-WAN Operations\\r\\n• Monitor SD-WAN controllers, edge devices, tunnels, and overlay networks.\\r\\n• Verify SD-WAN site connectivity and application performance.\\r\\n• Identify tunnel failures, routing issues, and device health concerns.\\r\\n• Escalate configuration-related issues to engineering teams.\\r\\nWAN &
- Backbone Monitoring\\r\\n• Monitor WAN/MPLS circuits and backbone connectivity.\\r\\n• Troubleshoot link failures, interface errors, routing anomalies, and performance issues.\\r\\n• Coordinate with telecom carriers and ISPs for circuit-related incidents.\\r\\n• Validate service restoration after troubleshooting activities.\\r\\nReporting &
- Documentation\\r\\n• Maintain network operation logs and shift handover reports.\\r\\n• Document incidents, troubleshooting actions, and resolutions.\\r\\n• Generate daily, weekly,



and monthly network health reports.\\r\\n• Update knowledge base articles and operational runbooks.\\r\\nShift Operations\\r\\n• Work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment.\\r\\n• Participate in shift handovers and operational reviews.\\r\\n• Follow standard operating procedures and escalation matrices.\\r\\n
