Senior DevOps / GCP Engineer — US Support

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps / GCP Engineer to join our Chennai team and help us operate, support and improve our production platform as we continue to grow in the United States.

The primary focus of this role is DevOps, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), platform reliability and production support during US business hours.

You do not need to be an experienced full-stack developer. Python and backend development experience are an advantage, but not mandatory at the time of joining. However, this is a hands-on engineering role.

The successful candidate must be willing to learn our Python/backend stack and progressively become comfortable troubleshooting issues across both infrastructure and application layers.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage, monitor and improve our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Manage Linux, Docker/containerized applications and cloud services.
- Monitor production systems, logs, alerts and infrastructure health.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents during US support hours.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive improvements.
- Improve platform reliability, scalability, backup and recovery.
- Automate repetitive infrastructure and operational tasks.
- Support secure cloud infrastructure and our technical requirements around HIPAA compliance.
- Work closely with engineering teams in India, Europe and the United States.
- Gradually learn and contribute to our Python/backend services for production troubleshooting and support.

Must-Have Skills





- Strong hands-on DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure experience.
- Good practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Linux administration. Docker / containerized applications.
- CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Monitoring, logging and alerting.
- Cloud networking and security fundamentals.
- Experience troubleshooting real production systems.
- Git and modern software-development workflows.
- Positive communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to regularly work US business hours / India night shift.

Python & Backend — Preferred, Not Mandatory Experience with the following is an advantage:

- Python
- REST APIs and backend services
- PostgreSQL or other relational databases
- Backend debugging and troubleshooting
- Application performance investigation
- Basic JavaScript/TypeScript or frontend troubleshooting

Candidates without strong Python/backend experience are still encouraged to apply. However, willingness to learn Python and our backend architecture is required. Over time, we expect the person in this role to be able to investigate production issues across both infrastructure and application layers.

Experience: 5+ years relevant experience preferred.

Strong hands-on production experience, problem-solving ability and willingness to learn are more important than matching every technology listed above.

Pay: From ₹800,000.00 per year
