Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:Maintain exact records of all jewellery items, including details like metal type, gemstones, weight, and price.
Stock Movement:Track and manage the physical movement of all jewellery within the store, from receiving to display, sales, and returns.
Receiving & Tagging:Receive recent merchandise, inspect it for quality and damage, verify against orders, and accurately tag items.
Audits & Reconciliation:Conduct regular physical counts and audits to reconcile actual inventory with system records, identifying and reporting discrepancies.
System Updates:Accurately enter and update all relevant inventory information into the company's inventory management system.
Security & Safety:Adhere to strict safety and security protocols for handling and storing high-value jewellery items.
Team Collaboration:Liaise with sales teams, floor managers,
and production teams regarding stock levels, orders, and client transactions.
Required Skills & Qualities
Attention to Detail:Essential for handling and documenting precious and high-value items accurately.
Understanding of Jewellery:Knowledge of different types of jewellery, metals, and gemstones is beneficial.
Inventory Management Systems:Experience with inventory management and Point of Sale (POS) systems is often required.
Communication Skills:Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
Organizational Skills:Robust ability to manage and organize large quantities of stock and documentation.
Data Analysis:Aptitude for analyzing inventory data to identify trends and assist with purchasing decisions.
