Job Title: Plant HR Manager

Experience: 10+ years, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial workplace
Education: MBA/PGDM in HR / MSW / equivalent qualification

Job Purpose

The Plant HR Manager is responsible for managing all HR and employee-related activities at the manufacturing plant, ensuring adequate manpower, solid employee relations, statutory compliance, workforce productivity, and effective implementation of corporate HR policies.

Key Responsibilities
Manpower Planning & Recruitment
Prepare manpower plans based on production requirements and business projections.
Manage recruitment of operators, technicians, supervisors, engineers, and support staff.
Coordinate onboarding, induction, probation, transfers, and employee deployment.
Ensure optimum manpower utilization across shifts and departments.
Employee & Industrial Relations
Maintain positive employee relations and a disciplined work setting.
Handle employee grievances,



disciplinary cases, absenteeism, misconduct, and workplace conflicts.
Manage interaction with employee representatives, unions, and worker committees.
Support negotiations and collective settlements where applicable.
Develop initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
Statutory & Labour Law Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable central and state labour legislation.
Monitor statutory requirements relating to wages, working hours, overtime, leave, social security, contract labour, welfare, and employment conditions.
Maintain required registers, records, notices, and statutory documentation.
Coordinate labour-law inspections, audits, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance by manpower/service contractors.
Contract Labour Management
Manage deployment and administration of contract workers.
