Job Purpose

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for managing and supervising all housekeeping operations to ensure that guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas and hotel facilities are maintained at the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety and presentation.

Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Housekeeping Operations
Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, corridors, washrooms and back-of-house areas are clean and well maintained.
Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas.
Ensure rooms are ready on time for guest check-in.
Maintain hotel cleanliness and presentation standards at all times.
Coordinate room status with the Front Office Department.
Team Management
Prepare duty rosters and allocate daily work to housekeeping staff.
Supervise Room Attendants, Housekeeping Supervisors, Public Area Attendants and other team members.
Conduct daily briefings and communicate departmental priorities.
Monitor staff grooming, discipline, attendance and productivity.
Train employees on cleaning standards, SOPs, hygiene,



guest service and safety procedures.
Quality & Hygiene Control
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation.
Conduct regular quality inspections and take corrective action when required.
Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Monitor linen quality and ensure proper handling of soiled and clean linen.
Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs and safety standards.
Inventory & Cost Control
Monitor housekeeping supplies, amenities, linen, uniforms and cleaning materials.
Maintain proper stock levels and prevent unnecessary wastage.
Prepare and submit departmental indents as per hotel procedures.
Maintain records of breakages, damages, lost and found items and linen movement.
Control departmental expenses and support cost-saving initiatives.
Coordination
Coordinate with Front Office regarding room status, arrivals, departures, VIP rooms
