We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Modernization Engineer with hands-on experience in AWS Transform Tooling, focused on application refactoring and data migration from legacy mainframe systems to contemporary cloud-native architectures. The role requires solid expertise in mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, IMS) along with exposure to AWS services and a working knowledge of Java-based applications.
Key Responsibilities
Mainframe Modernization & Refactoring
Analyze, understand, and refactor legacy mainframe applications (COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2) to cloud-native or microservices-based architectures.
Utilize AWS Transform tools/services to modernize and convert legacy workloads.
Translate monolithic batch jobs into scalable AWS workflows.
Ensure functional equivalence and performance optimization post-refactoring.
