Job Title: Automotive Ethernet & Networking Software Engineer (Android/Linux IVI)
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Ethernet & Networking Software Engineer with robust expertise in Linux and Android-based infotainment systems. The role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing Ethernet and networking components within IVI platforms, ensuring high performance, reliability, and compliance with automotive standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop Ethernet and networking software components for In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems
Implement and optimize networking features on
Linux and Android (AOSP) platforms
Work on Automotive Ethernet technologies including switch configuration and interface integration
Develop and maintain network protocols across L2 and L3 layers
Analyze requirements and translate them into scalable, high-performance solutions
Perform debugging, packet analysis, and troubleshooting using tools like
Wireshark/pcap
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, BSP, and system integration teams
Ensure compliance with automotive standards and certifications (e.g., Open Alliance TC8)
Contribute to system performance tuning, stability, and reliability improvements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related engineering field
4–7 years of experience in Ethernet and networking software development
Solid programming skills in
C, C++, and/or Java
Hands-on experience with
Android AOSP and Linux-based infotainment platforms
Solid understanding of
Linux and Android networking stack
Core Technical Expertise
Automotive Ethernet switch development and configuration
Interfaces and protocols:
MII, RGMII, SGMII, 100/1000BASE-T1, PCIe, SERDES
Networking concepts:
VLANs, L2 Bridging, L3 Routing
Protocols:
TCP/IP, UDP, SOME/IP, IPv4, IPv6
Experience with
packet capture and analysis (pcap tools)
Exposure to
Open Alliance
