Full Job DescriptionAbout the Role

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain the server-side systems that power our e-commerce platform and internal tools. You will work closely with the frontend, design, and product teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing applications, taking ownership of APIs, databases, and third-party integrations end to end.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js (Express.js/NestJS) and Laravel (PHP)
Architect solutions following MVC principles and established backend design patterns
Design, optimise, and manage relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), including schema design and query performance
Implement caching mechanisms and message queues to improve application performance and reliability




Integrate third-party services and APIs (payments, logistics, communication tools, etc.)
Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure smooth frontend–backend integration and adherence to API best practices
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues with a strong focus on root-cause analysis
Participate in code reviews, maintain clean version-controlled code (Git), and follow Agile/Scrum workflows
Contribute to technical documentation and continuous improvement of development processes

Requirements
3+ years of professional backend development experience
Solid proficiency in JavaScript (Node.js)
Practical experience with Express.js or NestJS
Practical experience with Laravel and PHP
Good understanding of MVC architecture and common backend design patterns
Hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases
Solid understanding of RESTful API development
Experience using Git/ver
