About Kefilo Kefilo is building a NutritionTech company focused on transforming people's health through science-backed nutrition, food technology, AI, and intelligent manufacturing.

We are not just another cloud kitchen or healthy meal delivery company. Our vision is to build a scalable ecosystem combining personalized nutrition, nutrition intelligence, transformation programs, standardized food production, and AI to make healthy eating accessible and measurable across India.

We are currently in the early product-building and testing stage . This is an equity-only founding team opportunity with no fixed salary until we secure funding and stabilize revenue.

As a Data Scientist at Kefilo, your primary responsibilities would include:

- Build the foundation of Kefilo's Nutrition Intelligence System using nutrition, lifestyle, health, fitness, and customer transformation data.
- Develop data models to support personalized nutrition, meal recommendations, wellness insights, and transformation tracking.
- Work with nutritionists and healthcare experts to convert scientific nutrition frameworks into structured, usable data.
- Design data pipelines and systems to collect, clean, structure, and analyze customer and product data.
- Develop predictive models for customer outcomes, engagement, adherence, retention, and transformation.
- Build recommendation systems for personalized meals, nutrition plans, and lifestyle interventions.
- Analyze customer transformation data to identify patterns, correlations, and factors influencing outcomes.
- Develop dashboards and analytics for nutritionists, customers, and the internal team.
- Work closely with the app developer and product team to integrate data science models into the Kefilo platform.




- Research and implement AI/ML approaches that can make Kefilo's personalization system more intelligent over time.
- Establish data quality, validation, privacy, and documentation standards for health and nutrition data.

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, AI/ML, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong Python skills and experience with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of statistics, machine learning, data analysis, and experimentation.
- Experience with SQL and databases.
- Experience building ML models and deploying them into real-world applications.
- Experience with recommendation systems, NLP, predictive analytics, or generative AI is a strong advantage.
- Experience working with healthcare, nutrition, fitness, HealthTech, FoodTech, or consumer data is highly preferred.
- Robust ability to work with domain experts and convert business/scientific problems into data problems.

Immediate Priorities — First 90 Days
- Understand and structure Kefilo's existing nutrition and transformation framework.
- Define the data architecture required for the Nutrition Intelligence System.
- Identify the key data points required from customers, nutritionists, food products, and transformation programs.




- Build initial analytics and personalization models.
- Develop the first version of a nutrition recommendation framework.
- Establish data collection, cleaning, validation, and documentation processes.
- Work with the product and nutrition teams to integrate data science into the Kefilo app.
- Identify high-impact AI/ML use cases that can be built cost-effectively at the current stage.
