We are seeking a knowledgeable, resourceful, and tech-savvy Library Teacher who can instill a love for reading, guide students in research and information literacy, and manage the school library effectively. The ideal candidate will be passionate about literature, organization, and promoting a culture of reading across all grades.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library.
Guide students in library usage, book selection, and research skills.
Promote a love for reading through book clubs, reading programs, storytelling sessions, and literary events.
Maintain and organize the library database, catalog books, and ensure effective circulation of materials.
Collaborate with subject teachers to provide curriculum-linked resources.
Teach students information literacy, referencing skills, and safe, ethical use of online information.
Maintain records of books issued/returned, damaged or lost materials.
Develop and implement library rules, schedules, and systems that support student learning.
Keep the library updated with age-appropriate, diverse,



and inclusive reading material.
Maintain a calm, welcoming, and quiet setting conducive to reading and learning.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Library Science (B.Lib./M.Lib.)
Additional degree in Education (B.Ed.) preferred for teaching responsibilities
Minimum 2 years of experience in a school library setup (preferred)
Familiarity with digital library systems and educational tools is a plus

Strong organizational and cataloging skills

Knowledge of children’s and young adult literature
Proficiency in library management software and computer literacy
Ability to engage students across various age groups
Passion for reading, books, and student development

Job Type: Full time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,895.25 per month
