This role will involve the complete product development cycle — from minor design modifications and tooling development to prototyping, trials, validation and testing.
Key Responsibilities
Make minor design alterations, improvements and engineering changes to existing products on 3D software – SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
Develop current product components and assemblies for precision manufacturing.
Design and develop press tools, moulds, jigs, fixtures and special tooling.
Work closely with machining, sheet-metal, assembly and production teams.
Involve in prototyping, product trials, validation and testing.
Develop appropriate fixtures and testing methods for product validation.
Support DFM/DFA, tolerance control and manufacturability improvements.
Coordinate with vendors and manufacturing teams for development.
Troubleshoot design/manufacturing issues and implement practical engineering solutions.
Take ownership of products from development → trials → validation → production.

2–4 years of hands-on experience in mechanical product development is mandatory.
Exposure to precision product development and engineering change/modification.
Valuable understanding of precision machining, CNC/VMC, tooling and manufacturing processes.
Experience/exposure in press tools, moulds, jigs, fixtures and special-purpose tooling.
Knowledge of sheet-metal component development is required.
Robust practical understanding of tolerances, fitments and manufacturability.
