Role & responsibilities
Prepare cost sheets and quotations for printing and packaging jobs.
Calculate material requirements and costs for paper, board , films, inks, adhesives, foils, laminates and other consumables.
Calculate printing, lamination, die-cutting, foiling, embossing, pasting, folding and other process costs.
Calculate machine -hour and labour costs based on production process.
Consider wastage, make-ready quantity, setup cost and production loss while preparing costing.
Prepare costing based on job size, quantity, number of colours and production process.
Coordinate with sales, production ,purchase and planning teams to obtain accurate costing inputs.
Compare estimated costing with actual production costs and identify major cost variations.
Maintain costing records and update raw materials and process rates regularly.
Maintain confidentiality of costing ,margins and pricing information.
